The San Antonio Mission Indian Descendants had a great turnout as we welcomed Joe Tellez, who took us back thousands of years to explore what made this region so special—starting with the natural features that drew Native tribes to settle here long before European contact. He also walked us through why this very landscape made San Antonio the ideal spot for five Spanish Missions and, later, a gateway for settlers moving west in search of a new beginning.
